Für ein Gastspiel ist die A-Cappella-Band "Viva Voce" durch Brasilien getourt. Die fünfköpfige Musikgruppe war Ende April mehrere Tage unterwegs im Süden des Landes und spielte Konzerte unter anderem in Blumenau, Brusque und Balneário Camboriú.
Anlass für den musikalischen Besuch ist die Partnerschaft zwischen der bayerischen und der brasilianischen lutherischen Kirche. Zum 500. Jahrestag der lutherischen Reformation sollte viel Musik gespielt werden - und so wurde die A-Cappella-Band "Viva Voce" kurzerhand nach Brasilien eingeladen. In Brasilien spielte die Formation auch in Porto Alegre, Joinville, Curitiba, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro und Salvador.
Ihre musikalischen Wurzeln haben die Musiker im berühmten "Windsbacher Knabenchor". Nach ein paar Jahren beschlossen die Sänger David Lugert, Jörg Schwartzmanns, Mateusz Phouthavong, Bastian Hupfer and Heiko Bejes eine eigene Gruppe zu bilden mit ganz eigenem Musikstil. Die Reise nach Brasilien wurde finanziell unterstützt von Mission Eine Welt sowie der deutschen Bundesregierung.
German Quintet Viva Voce performed in Brazilian Lutheran churches
A partnership between the Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Bavaria resulted in a series of presentation of the group "Viva Voce - Die A Capella Band". In addition to having performed in a series of Brazilian capitals, the quintet went through Blumenau, Brusque and Balneário Camboriú, in the Vale do Itajaí Synod, between 21 and 23/04.
The intention of the churches was to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation with much music, one of the main legacies of Martin Luther, from the motto "Experience the Inspiring Effect of Reform on Music and Culture." The group sings and performs at the same time the accompaniment of percussion and drums with their voices.
It is a band to the chapel of great success in Germany. The young boys have their roots in the famous "Windsbacher Knabenchor". After a few years at the choir, David Lugert, Jörg Schwartzmanns, Mateusz Phouthavong, Bastian Hupfer and Heiko Bejes formed the group, creating their own style. For almost 20 years Viva Voce has performed in Germany attracting a lot of people, whether in theaters, pavilions or outdoors, in major cities such as Munich, Hamburg and Cologne. In Brazil, they also performed in Porto Alegre, Joinville, Curitiba, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador.
